Generally about diabetes treatment
Treatment consists of:
- Education and awareness of patient (instructing of self-contained (individual) glycemia measuring and reaction on measured values = selfmonitoring, calculation of exchangeable units, compiling of diet, …)
- Treatment of diabetes (regulated diet, pills, insulin)
- Exercising
- Prevention/treatment of possible complications and intercurrent diseases
