DIACOMFORT Socks
Medical socks for diabetics DIACOMFORT are medical aid registered by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. They help to prevent and to mitigate the problems related to diabetic foot syndrome. DIACOMFORT sock has been developed by MTE company in cooperation with foremost diabetic centres in the Czech Republic. Due to their special features, they are suitable not only for diabetics. Why is DIACOMFORT sock so exceptional?
Antimicrobial effect (germicidal and antifungal) is ensured by a special conditioning (rinse in softener) (RUCO-BAC MED). The active ingredient insoluble in water uses the fibre as a latent carrier and changes it in its own "reservoir". During drying after every wash, the microgranules of the active ingredient migrate slowly up to the surface of the fibre, where they apply their long-term germicidal and antifungal effect. Due to the character of the active ingredient the antimicrobial effects lasts for the lifetime of the sock.
Waffled hem is a special construction of the hem. It is soft and sufficiently firm, doesn't compress nor strangle, and doesn't roll down in the area of ankle. Chain-stitched tip-toe - seamless, smooth connection of the tip with an instep part to prevent pressure sores, which is achieved by hand-guidance of the individual loops of the knitwear to the needles - so called chain-stitching.
Sizes and maintenance
- women: 23-25, 25-27 (in colours: light grey, white, black, light beige)
- men: 25-28, 29-32 (in colours: dark grey, white, black, dark beige)
maintenance: hand or machine wash at 40 °C, do not bleach or chlorine, rinse without fabric softeners - this would debase antibacterial effect
