Prevention of complications - care about vision
You should see at least once a year your ophthalmologist and get your vision examined. Your sight is endangered by frequent fluctuations in glycemia, especially by hyperglycemias. Problems which you don't feel can be found by medical technique in time and early onset on therapy can prevent damage on your sight.
Vision examination consists of test of vision, ocular fundus examination and intraocular pressure evaluation. It is better if somebody brings you for this examination since special drops will be applied before the examination into your eyes in order to widen your pupils. This may cause worsening of your sight for next couple of hours - till the effect of drops subsides.
